and i didn't know that it has no multiplayer, because it has multiplayer in steam as tag. ^^ it's called "multiplayer (local)"īut i'am not talking about "multiplayer (local)" tag, no i'am talking about the "multiplayer" tag which is wrong for this game here, because it has NO multiplayer. that was available over 20 years ago in Pinball Dreams, Pinball Fantasies and Pinball Illusions (obviously local MP only).local multiplayer has a seperate multiplayer tag in steam. Originally posted by The Fifth Horseman: and i just get asked what i played, because somebody was strait befor calling me a troll, because he didn't know that realistic MP pinball was already avaible 9years ago (on a console)Because what your complaint amounts to is going to KFC and complaining their chicken wings are not the same as the ones at McDonalds.Īnd realistic pinball with multiplayer. 2009 and multiplayer for 4 players was already fully implemented(with voice and webcam support)Different developer, different priorities. Last Pinball game i played was "ZEN Pinball" for PS3. The main selling point of Pinball Arcade is that its' tables are extremely detailed replicas of real pinball tables ( one of the reasons I got Whirlwind, for example, is that I remember playing it in an arcade more than 20 years ago ) It's basically irrelevant for most people with an actual interest in pinball simulations. Thats the reason i downloaded the game, because it has multiplayer tag in description ^^ without the ability to test MP i'am sure i don't buy tables or packs, because this is the essential thing for me.You've got the wrong game, then. So how to play MP in free version against other players? You don't. Please tell me how to play against other players without a need to pay something? You don't. It's also worth noting the game is available in a boxed version in the UK, the US version is free-to-play on the eShop (with extra purchases, naturally).I tested trial version in "online play", but if i choose "find random match" the table start without matchmaking in SP.As far as I understand, only some tables are enabled for multiplayer. The classic design might appeal to certain generations of players, but unless you're seeking a dose of nostalgia, you're probably better off looking elsewhere to get your pinball fix. It's by no means at the forefront of the digital pinball game market and in its current state is probably a good indication as to why pinball lost traction over the years. This is reminiscent of a title that would have been released at some point during the early '90s due to its limited content - so even as a video game, it's considerably behind the times. Stern Pinball has none of this and a limited selection of purchasable tables. Not to mention a large collection of prominent licenses. Its primary competitor excels at offering a connected online experience with cross-platform play, global leaderboards and tournaments. The simulation aspects and overall realism does not make up for the severe lack of modern features within this title. The issue is it's a rather simplistic game. The limited content in Stern Pinball is nonetheless well-crafted and certainly accurate when compared to real pinball.
